Open to the Public
Dumas Station's winery and tasting room is located in a historic train depot. The original building (which still stands today) was built by James Dumas in 1906 as a place to pack and store the apples from his commercial orchard (Pomona Apple Ranch). The building doubled as an agricultural train depot. Competing rail companies would pull up to either side of the building and load up on agricultural products from the region. On the old railroad maps, the building was designated as Dumas Station. We pay homage to the building's history by naming our winery the same. Today Dumas Station produces 3,500 cases of wine in that old train station and apple packing plant. The winery also doubles as a tasting room where we host the public for a seated tasting experience in the back of the winery with views of the hills and agriculture fields surrounding the winery.
